The treatment process and <br /> any future expansions shall comply with all present <br /> and future applicable agency regulations but at a <br /> minimum shall include the following: Raw Water <br /> Reservoir The treatment process shall include a raw <br /> water storage system designed and built in a manner so <br /> as to assure one day of stored raw water supply <br /> equivalent to the water treatment plant's daily <br /> capacity. The raw water reservoir's primary function is <br /> to serve as a presedimentation basin. This preliminary <br /> sedimentation reduces silt and settleable organic matter <br /> prior to chemical treatment. The secondary function <br /> of the raw water reservoir is to serve as emergency <br /> storage in case of temporary shutdowns of the raw <br /> water pump station due to maintenance or repairs. <br /> Additionally,the benefits of the raw water storage <br /> include the ability to provide adequate treatment using <br /> contact clarification in lieu of a conventional treatment <br /> plant and to minimize the possibility of an interruption <br /> in service. <br /> Water <br /> 1239 12.3.6.I.b Treatment Plant Y See# 1236 None. <br /> 10/03/2000 MHMP.CHECKLIST-928 Page267 <br />
