<br /> FINDINGS REQUIRED BY THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY
<br /> ACT FOR ADOPTION OF THE MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION
<br /> The following information is presented to comply with the requirements of the California
<br /> Environmental Quality Act hereinafter referred to as "CEQA" (Public Resources Code §§
<br /> 21000 et seq.) and also the requirements in the CEQA Guidelines (California Code of
<br /> Regulations, Title 14 §§ 15000 et seq.). The County of San Joaquin ("County"), the lead
<br /> agency under CEQA, hereby certifies the Mountain House Neighborhood F Project—
<br /> Major Subdivision and associated General Plan, Master Plan, Specific Plan I and Special
<br /> Purpose Plan Amendments Application Nos. SU-00-03, GP-00-10, GP-00-11, MP-00-01,
<br /> MP-00-02, SP-00-01, SP-00-02, and PP-00-0I (hereinafter collectively referred to as
<br /> "Neighborhood F Project")Initial Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration and adopts
<br /> the Findings listed below.
<br /> These Findings are in support of the Neighborhood F Project which is the first major
<br /> phase of development of the Mountain House Community. Mountain House is a new
<br /> community planned on a 4,780 acre site in San Joaquin County which was approved for
<br /> development on November 10, 1994. Ultimate build-out of the community is projected
<br /> to include a resident population 42,000 person and jobs for about 22,000. Extensive
<br /> environmental review has been completed on the overall project and for a number of
<br /> subsequent approvals since the original approval in 1994. Environmental documents
<br /> include the following:
