All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #12 pH Level MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pH level at the spa was 7.0. Maintain pH between 7.2-7.8, keep spa closed until pH level is verified <br />by EHD. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br /> #3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: Lacking facility name on safety sign. Include name of facility on safety sign. Correct today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 3120B) <br /> #4 Safety Equipment <br />OBSERVATIONS: Rope attached to life ring was too short. Provide rope attached to life ring that can span the maximum <br />pool width, rope must be at least 3/16 in. thick. Correct today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br /> #32 Chemical Control and Monitoring System <br />OBSERVATIONS: Per Rolando the pH automatic feeders were not working and they have been maintaining the pH <br />manually. Provide working automatic pH feeders within 1 week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Chemical feeders shall be constructed with an adjustable output rate device controlled by an approved <br />automatic chemical monitoring and control system that regulates at minimum pH and disinfectant. Chemical feeders shall be constructed <br />and installed to prevent uncontrolled discharge or siphoning of chemicals and fumes directly into the pool, recirculation system, pool area, <br />or ancillary facilities.
