(CAI) has been sub -contracted by O'Dell Engineering to provide geotechnical
engineering support services for the San Joaquin Regional Rail Commission.
Prior to drilling, an Engineer or geologist will mark the boring locations and call 811 to identify utilities.
Three (3) geotechnical soil boring will be constructed for subsurface soil exploration. The boring will be
advanced using a Truck or Track mounted drill rig with solid -stem or hollow -stem auger, and/or rotary
wash drilling methods. Each drilled boring will be a vertical geotechnical boring, diameter ranges from 4-
8 inches.
The soils samples will be transported by car and preserved in containers with caps wrapped with tape or
Ziploc seal bags. Soil cutting will be haul offsite. Boring will be grouted using cement mixture, and the
upper feet will be backfilled with soil cutting to match original surface conditions.
At the completion of each exploration, the holes will be backfilled per San Joaquin County well and
boring permit and capped with either concrete dyed black (in asphalt areas), or native materials (in
unpaved areas). At completion, the work area will be cleaned up and returned to its previous condition.
Crawfgrd .
6 Associates.
