Ms. Jennifer Johy
October 2, 2002
Page 2
This truck hauling route is along the portion of Linne Road which will provide the
only access to the proposed 77-unit subdivision Project. The Project proposes two
access roads from the Project to Linne Road in this area.
Please note that the Tracy Rock Plant is permitted to operate 24 hours daily. Trucks
regularly arrive and depart from the Tracy Rock Plant throughout the day and during
commute periods. In addition, the area directly to the north of the Tracy Rock Plant
and the permitted quarry property is industrial. In addition to mining there are other
industrial uses in the vicinity which generate truck traffic and industrial noise. The
proposed residential subdivision appears inconsistent with these current neighboring
uses.
If the proposed subdivision is approved, it is essential that adequate mitigation
provisions be imposed. Appropriate conditions should provide safe passenger
vehicle and quarry truck movements along Linne Road. The developer and future
residents should be aware that the proposed subdivision is within close proximity to
the quarry excavations and processing facilities and surrounding industrial uses. If
the Project is approved, conditions should be imposed to mitigate these potential
conflicts.
Please add to your mailing list for this Project, the following:
Randall W.
