CALIFORNIA REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD <br /> CENTRAL VALLEY REGION <br /> ORDER NO. 5-00-226 <br /> WASTE DISCHARGE REQUIREMENTS <br /> FOR <br /> COUNTY OF SATIN JOAQUIN DEPT. OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> COUNTY SERVICE AREA NO. 44 <br /> CASTELLO ESTATES AKA APRICOT ACRES <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> The California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region (hereafter Board), <br /> finds that: <br /> 1. W.D.O., Inc. submitted a Report of Waste Discharge (RWD), dated 3 April 2000, to treat <br /> and dispose of domestic sewage generated at Castello Estates Subdivision. Additional <br /> information was submitted on 24 July 2000 and 22 August 2000. <br /> 2. The property is owned by W.D.O., Inc. Presently the property is developed as apricot and <br /> walnut orchards. An 83 lot residential subdivision is planned for the 101.4 acre property. <br /> The property's Assessor's Parcel Numbers are: 248-070-02, -11, -12, -13, and -14; and <br /> 248-090-03 and -04. <br /> 3. The subdivision will be equipped with a domestic wastewater collection system; <br /> wastewater will be treated in a package treatment plant. Treated wastewater will be <br /> discharged to computer controlled subsurface emitters. <br /> 4. The ownership and operation of the wastewater treatment and disposal system will be <br /> transferred to the County of San Joaquin Department of Public Works (SJDPW) upon <br /> completion. SJDPW is hereafter referred to as "Discharger." In a 13 June 2000 <br /> correspondence, the SJDPW accepted responsibility for ownership, operation, and <br /> maintenance of the wastewater treatment system. <br /> 5. The wastewater treatment facility will be located at the eastern cul-de-sac on Falcone <br /> Drive near the major cross streets of MacArthur Drive and Linne Road south of Tracy in <br /> San Joaquin County. The facility is in Section 3, T3S, R5E, MDB&M as shown on <br /> Attachment A, which is attached hereto and made part of the Order by reference. <br /> 6. Wastewater will be generated in 83, three or four bedroom private residences. No <br /> commercial or industrial development is planned for the area discharging to the treatment <br /> system. <br /> 7. Water for domestic use will be supplied by a community groundwater production well. <br /> The well is screened below a regional clay aquitard which exists at a depth from 280 feet <br /> to 530 feet below ground surface (bgs). Samples were collected from the well on 3 <br /> September 1999 and 16 September 1999. A summary of the analyses is presented below. <br />
