WASTE DISCHARGE REQUtttEMENTS ORDER NO. 5-00-226 -5- <br /> COUNTY OF SAN JOAQUIN DEPT. OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> COUNTY SERVICE AREA NO. 44 <br /> CASTELLO ESTATES AKA APRICOT ACRES <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> A. Discharge Prohibitions: <br /> 1. Discharge of wastes to surface waters or surface water drainage courses is prohibited. <br /> 2. Bypass or overflow of untreated or partially treated waste is prohibited. <br /> 3. Neither the treatment nor the discharge shall cause a nuisance or condition of pollution as <br /> defined by the California Water Code, Section 13050. <br /> 4. The discharge shall not cause the degradation of any water supply. <br /> 5. Discharge of waste classified as hazardous, as defined in Sections 2521(a) of Title 23, <br /> CCR, Section 2510, et seq., (hereafter Chapter 15, or `designated', as defined in Section <br /> 13173 of the California Water Code, is prohibited. <br /> 6. Surfacing of wastewater in the subsurface disposal area is prohibited. <br /> 7., Only domestic wastewater shall be discharged to the wastewater treatment system. <br /> B. Discharge Specifications: <br /> 1. The average dry weather discharge shall not exceed 30,000 gallons per day. <br /> 2. Objectionable odors originating at this facility shall not be perceivable beyond the limits <br /> of the wastewater treatment area. <br /> 3. Treated wastewater shall not have a pH of less than 6.5 or greater than 8.5. <br /> 4. The Discharger shall operate all systems and equipment to maximize treatment of the <br /> wastewater and optimize the quality of the discharge. <br /> 5. The wastewater disposal area shall be managed to control vegetation growth. Plant <br /> growth shall be controlled through mowing. <br /> 6. The Discharger's wastewater treatment system shall be designed, constructed, operated, <br /> and maintained to prevent inundation or washout due to floods with a 100-year return <br /> frequency. <br /> 7. Signs shall be placed at the perimeter of the disposal area to notify the public of the <br /> disposal of treated wastewater. <br /> 8. All transportation of sludge or other wastewater shall be performed by a duly authorized <br /> service. <br /> 9. Operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant shall be overseen by a <br /> licensed wastewater treatment plant operator. <br />
