WASTE DISCHARGE REQUtttEMENTS ORDER NO. 5-00-226 -5- COUNTY OF SAN JOAQUIN DEPT. OF PUBLIC WORKS COUNTY SERVICE AREA NO. 44 CASTELLO ESTATES AKA APRICOT ACRES SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY A. Discharge Prohibitions: 1. Discharge of wastes to surface waters or surface water drainage courses is prohibited. 2. Bypass or overflow of untreated or partially treated waste is prohibited. 3. Neither the treatment nor the discharge shall cause a nuisance or condition of pollution as defined by the California Water Code, Section 13050. 4. The discharge shall not cause the degradation of any water supply. 5. Discharge of waste classified as hazardous, as defined in Sections 2521(a) of Title 23, CCR, Section 2510, et seq., (hereafter Chapter 15, or `designated', as defined in Section 13173 of the California Water Code, is prohibited. 6. Surfacing of wastewater in the subsurface disposal area is prohibited. 7., Only domestic wastewater shall be discharged to the wastewater treatment system. B. Discharge Specifications: 1. The average dry weather discharge shall not exceed 30,000 gallons per day. 2. Objectionable odors originating at this facility shall not be perceivable beyond the limits of the wastewater treatment area. 3. Treated wastewater shall not have a pH of less than 6.5 or greater than 8.5. 4. The Discharger shall operate all systems and equipment to maximize treatment of the wastewater and optimize the quality of the discharge. 5. The wastewater disposal area shall be managed to control vegetation growth. Plant growth shall be controlled through mowing. 6. The Discharger's wastewater treatment system shall be designed, constructed, operated, and maintained to prevent inundation or washout due to floods with a 100-year return frequency. 7. Signs shall be placed at the perimeter of the disposal area to notify the public of the disposal of treated wastewater. 8. All transportation of sludge or other wastewater shall be performed by a duly authorized service. 9. Operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant shall be overseen by a licensed wastewater treatment plant operator.
