PROJECT DESCRIPTION: <br /> The purpose of this project is to grade clean fill dirt into an existing reclaimed quarry pit <br /> to provide a stable,level surface to perform future agricultural activities. This grading work is <br /> expected to be accomplished over a period of five (5)years. <br /> This site consists of APN: 253-100-20 and is located at 31013 South Tracy Boulevard in <br /> the City of Tracy, County.of San Joaquin, CA. The site is generally bound by the California <br /> Aqueducirto the South, Corral Hollow Creek to the West,the Delta Mendota Canal to the North, <br /> and South Tracy Boulevard to the East. <br /> The site formerly operated as a rock quarry, known as Huck Quarry, and ceased <br /> operations effectively May 31,2018. San Joaquin County Community Development Department <br /> in concurrence with the State of California Department of Conservation have determined that the <br /> Huck Quarry has completed the reclamation in accordance with the reclamation plan for this site. <br /> The grading material will consist of clean imported material meeting the requirements of the <br /> State of California Department of Toxic Substances Control and complying with the California <br /> Environmental Screening Levels for excavated materials. <br /> The project applicant proposes to grade the site for future agricultural activities. It is <br /> anticipated that terraced olive groves will be planted at completion of grading operations. The <br /> grading_operations will commence in a manner that is appropriate for agricultural uses and will <br /> not negatively impact groundwater or surrounding drainage patterns.All grading operations will <br /> conform to the existing surrounding grades. Access to the site will continue to be from existing <br /> driveways at.South Tracy Boulevard. Due to the availability of material,the grading operations <br /> consisting of clean fill dirt into the reclaimed quarry for agricultural purposes are anticipated to <br /> be performed over a period of five (5)years. The grading operations will be contained onsite and <br /> are not expected to impact the County Right of Way. <br />
