All <br />violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health and must be <br />corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #4 Safety Equipment MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The body hook is in the pump enclosure. Leave the body hook accessible to the patrons inside the pool <br />enclosure. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The chlorine concentration in the pool is too high at 14.5 ppm. Decrease and maintain the chlorine <br />concentration between 2.0 and 10.0 ppm. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall <br />maintain the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with <br />cyanuric acid or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 <br />ppm free chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #22 Skimmer Assembly <br />OBSERVATIONS: There is no floating weir in the skimmer. replace the missing floating weir by 1 week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool shall be equipped to provide continuous skimming of the pool water. All parts of the skimmer shall be <br />maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
