All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The chlorine level of the spa is greater than 20ppm. Immediately reduce the chlorine level to the range of <br />3.0-10.0ppm. <br />Neutralizer was added, then chlorine was added. Too much chlorine added. Re-check #1: greater than 17ppm <br />More neutralizer was added. Too much neutralizer added. Re-check #2: less than 2.0ppm <br />More chlorine added: Re-check #3: 5.2ppm <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #8 Pool and Deck Lighting <br />OBSERVATIONS: The spa light is burned out. Repair/replace the spa light by 2 weeks. <br />REPEAT VIOLATION <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of the <br />pool. When a pool is used at night, pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck lighting is <br />not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in 4-inch letters stating "NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK" and shall <br />secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark. (3115B) <br /> #13 Cyanuric Acid Concentration <br />OBSERVATIONS: The cyanuric acid (cya) level of the spa is greater than 100ppm. Take action to reduce the cya level to <br />less than 100ppm. Correct ASAP. <br />REPEAT VIOLATION <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain cyanuric acid concentration between 0.0 ppm and 100 ppm.
