All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #16 Water Clarity MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Pool is green and has trash floating in the water. Unable to see bottom of pool. Maintain pool so water <br />is clear and the bottom of the pool is visible from the deck. Correct today. Close pool area until the corrections are made <br />and verified by this department. (REPEAT) <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain clear pool water while pool is in use or shall close the pool if the bottom of the <br />pool at the maximum depth is not clearly visible from the deck. (CCR 65527) <br /> #3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: Provide the following safety signs before pool re-opens: <br />1. " KEEP GATE CLOSED" and" DIARRHEA" reminder signs. <br />2. Replace 6 in 1 sign and write in pool capacity, pool hours, site name and address, and phone number of nearest hospital. <br />(REPEAT) <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 3120B) <br /> #4 Safety Equipment <br />OBSERVATIONS: Provide a life ring with an attached rope. Rope' s length shall be pools width. Pole with hook shall be <br />accessible to residents. Correct today. (REPEAT) <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br /> #7 Pool Deck <br />OBSERVATIONS: Pool deck has several gaps between concrete slabs. Fill in with deck-o-seal or wood/plastic strips. <br />(REPEAT) <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: An unobstructed 4-foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with the <br />top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of any <br />diving board, ADA device, or slide.
