All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The chlorine level of the spa water is 29.5ppm. Reduce the level of the chlorine to 3-10ppm. Correct <br /> immediately or the spa will remain closed. <br /> Chlorine neutralizer was added. Re-check of chlorine level is Oppm. <br /> Approximately 4 ounces of 10%chlorine was added. Re-check of chlorine level is 4.6ppm <br /> OK to re-open the spa. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Public pools, when open or in use,shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br /> the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br /> or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools,and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations:3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br /> chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #8 Pool and Deck Lighting <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The spa light is not functioning. Unable to determine if the GFCI is working for the spa. Repair/replace <br /> the spa light ASAP. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of the <br /> pool. When a pool is used at night,pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck lighting is <br /> not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in 4-inch letters stating"NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK"and shall <br /> secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark. (31158) <br /> #13 Cyanuric Acid Concentration <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The cyanuric acid level of the spa water is greater than 100 ppm. Take action to reduce the CYA to less <br /> than 100 ppm.
