All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual <br />OBSERVATIONS: The free chlorine level or concentration is greater than 13 ppm. Maintain free chlorine concentration <br />between 3.0 ppm and 10.0 ppm immediately. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #12 pH Level <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pH is less than 7. Maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8 immediately. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br /> #13 Cyanuric Acid Concentration <br />OBSERVATIONS: The cyanuric acid concentration is greater than 100 ppm. Maintain cyanuric acid concentration between <br />0.0 ppm and 100 ppm immediately. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain cyanuric acid concentration between 0.0 ppm and 100 ppm. (CCR 65530) <br /> #38 Filter Cleaning and Maintenance <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pressure differential between influent and effluent are 14 psi. Clean/replace the filter within one <br />week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All filters shall be maintained in accordance with manufacturer's specifications. (CBC 3123B) Pressure gauge <br />located on the filter shall be marked with the clean startup reading. (CBC 3125B) Each filter vessel shall be provided with valves so that it <br />can be isolated from the recirculation system for repairs and backwashing.
