All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #12 pH Level MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:pH is below 7.0. <br /> Provide 7.2-7.8. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br /> #9 Ladders and Handrails <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Hand rails are loose at the shallow end. <br /> Tighten. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:A means of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool. Ladders and <br /> handrails shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed.At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a point <br /> above the top of the lowest step.Handrails shall be installed between 28 to 36 inches above the steps and deck. (CBC 3111 B)Pool <br /> operator shall keep ladders and handrails well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br /> #14 Chemical Water Test Kit <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Chemical water test kit is not available. <br /> Provide. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain a test kit for measuring the disinfectant residual, combined chlorine,pH,and <br /> cyanuric acid(if used)at the pool. Test kit shall be available at all times the pool is in use. Chlorine and bromine test kits shall be DPD <br /> type. Chlorine test kits shall be capable of testing for free and total chlorine,so that combined chlorine concentrations can be determined. <br /> (CCR 65529) <br /> #15 Operation Records <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Operation records are lacking. <br /> Maintain. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall test the disinfectant residual,pH, and spa water temperature a minimum of once per day. <br /> Cyanuric acid concentration shall be tested once per month if cyanuric acid is used. Combined chlorine shall be tested as often as <br /> necessary to maintain the concentration below 0.4 ppm. Pool operator shall maintain written records of all maintenance and test results <br /> for at least two years and shall submit those records to the enforcement agency upon request.
