Provide life ring with a rope minimum the max width of the pool today. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained,readily visible,and available for use.Pools shall have at <br /> minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br /> rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br /> (CCR 65540) <br /> #8 Pool and Deck Lighting <br /> OBSERVATIONS:2 of 4 Light fixtures are not working. Replace light fixtures in 2 weeks. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of the <br /> pool. When a pool is used at night,pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck lighting is <br /> not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in 4-inch letters stating"NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK"and shall <br /> secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark. (3115B) <br /> #9 Ladders and Handrails <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Single handrail, at 4 FT depth across the pool bar, is loose. Secure the handrail today. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:A means of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool.Ladders and <br /> handrails shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed.At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a point <br /> above the top of the lowest step.Handrails shall be installed between 28 to 36 inches above the steps and deck.
