All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The chlorine was over 10 ppm. Maintain chlorine levels between 3.0-10.0 ppm when operating spa. <br /> Keep spa closed until correction is verified by EHD. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Public pools, when open or in use,shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br /> the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br /> or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools,and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations:3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br /> chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #25 Spa Emergency Shut Off Switch MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Emergency shut off switch did not turn off spa pump it only shut off the spa jets. Provide working <br /> emergency shut off switch so that it shuts off both the spa jets and pump/recirculation system once switch is pressed. Keep <br /> spa closed until correction is verified by EHD. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:A clearly labeled emergency shut off switch for both the spa recirculation and jet/aeration systems shall be <br /> installed adjacent to the spa pool. (CBC 31388) <br /> #3 Safety Signs <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Lacking max spa capacity on safety signs and name and address of pool facility on emergency sign. <br /> Some of the safety signs are partially coming off the wall and the information on the signs was not visible. Provide <br /> information on safety signs and fix signs onto wall. Correct today. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535)Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br /> letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall,pole,gate, or similar <br /> permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 31208) <br /> #13 Cyanuric Acid Concentration <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The cyanuric acid was over 100 ppm. Maintain cyanuric acid between 0-100 ppm when operating. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain cyanuric acid concentration between 0.0 ppm and 100 ppm.
