All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Free chlorine is 0.8 PPM. Adjust to 2 PPM to 10 PPM. Keep pool closed until the corrections are made <br />and verified by this department. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: The facility was lacking complete emergency signage. The name and phone number of the nearest <br />emergency services was lacking. Provide prior to resuming pool operations and correction has been verified by this <br />department. <br />----------------------------------------------- <br />The "Warning No Life Guard On Duty" sign is fading. The sign stating "Children Under the Age of 14 Shall Not Use Pool <br />Without A Parent of Adult Guardian in Attendance" has faded significantly. Provide new signage prior to resuming pool <br />operations and correction has been verified by this department. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 3120B) <br /> #17 Cleanliness of Pool <br />OBSERVATIONS: Observed some algae growth on the steps inside the pool and debris on the pool floor. Clean and <br />remove all debris. Keep pool closed until the corrections are made and verified by this department. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain clean pool water while the pool is in use and shall not allow debris to accumulate <br />in the pool. Pool operator shall clean the bottom, sides, and other surfaces of the pool as often as necessary to keep pool surfaces clean <br />and free of slime and algae.
