All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The chlorine level is not high enough at 1.6 ppm. Increase and maintain level between 2.0 and 10.0 <br />ppm. Level increased to 2.0 during inspection. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #4 Safety Equipment <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pool attached to the safety hook is not long enough. Provide a 12 foot pole for the safety hook. <br />Correct by tomorrow and send me proof or the pool will be closed. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br /> #22 Skimmer Assembly <br />OBSERVATIONS: The skimmers are not drawing water through the inlets. Adjust the flow to suck from the skimmers and <br />the main drain. The floating weirs are missing. Provide the floating weirs by 1 week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool shall be equipped to provide continuous skimming of the pool water. All parts of the skimmer shall be <br />maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications. (CBC 3136B) <br /> #27 Pool Equipment Room <br />OBSERVATIONS: The circulation system is lacking an automatic chlorinator. Install a chlorinator for the circulation system. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep ancillary facilities well maintained. (CCR 65535) All filters, valves, pumps, strainers <br />and equipment shall be readily accessible for repair and replacement.
