HAZARDOUS WASTE GENERATOR AND STORAGE REQUIREMENTS <br /> Regardless of generator status, facilities are required to have one emergency <br /> coordinator who is either on the premises or on call. <br /> 3.5.1. Hazardous Waste Accumulation Areas <br /> There are two kinds of hazardous waste Accumulation areas: <br /> 1) Satellite Accumulation Area <br /> 2) Long-term, Permitted Hazardous Waste Accumulation Area <br /> 3.5.1.1. Satellite Accumulation Area <br /> Near Where <br /> Waste was <br /> Generated <br /> No More than 55 al!` <br /> Gallons (or 1 qt of <br /> acutely hazardous) <br /> IClearly Labeled <br /> Figure 3.2 Satellite Accumulation Area Requirements <br /> The satellite accumulation area is the location where waste hazardous waste <br /> is stored temporarily in a container, typically at or near the point where the <br /> waste is generated before it is moved to the central accumulation area. <br /> Satellite accumulation areas allow facilities to store up to 55 gallons of <br /> hazardous waste (or 1 quart of acute hazardous waste). <br /> Grocery stores do not typically have satellite accumulation area on the store <br /> floor.
