All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Free chlorine was valued at 20 PPM. Adjust to 3 ppm to 10 ppm. Close spa until the corrections have <br />been made and verified by this department. The pool service technician was called in during the inspection. The spa’s <br />chlorine level was brought down to 6.5 PPM. <br />Corrected On Site <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #12 pH Level MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The spa's pH was valued at 8.0. Adjust water pH to 7.2 - 7.8. Close spa until the corrections have been <br />made and verified by this department. The pool service technician was called in during the inspection. The violation was <br />corrected during the inspection. The spa’s pH was brought down to 7.2. <br />Corrected On Site <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br /> #26 Spa Operating Temperature <br />OBSERVATIONS: The spa's hot water heater is currently leaking onto the floor inside the pool equipment room. <br />Repair/replace within one week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Spa temperature shall not exceed 104*F. (CBC 3138B) <br /> #35 Flow Meters <br />OBSERVATIONS: The effluent gauge is lacking on the spa's filtration system. Obtain for proper effluent pressure reading. <br />Correct within <br />30 days. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Flow meters shall be provided on each recirculation system and shall be installed in accordance with <br />manufacturer's specifications.
