All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #37 Electrical Hazards MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Light is loose and not completely affixed to the spa wall. <br />Pool service arrived and drained pool and affixed light to spa wall. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Electrical equipment installed in the water, walls, deck, or equipment room of a public pool shall comply with <br />California Electrical Code. (CEC 680.4) Light fixtures installed in the pool that operate at more than 15 volts shall be protected by a ground <br />fault circuit interrupter. (CBC 3160B) <br /> #9 Ladders and Handrails <br />OBSERVATIONS: Handrails are loose. <br />Tighten <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: A means of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool. Ladders and <br />handrails shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed. At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a point <br />above the top of the lowest step. Handrails shall be installed between 28 to 36 inches above the steps and deck. (CBC 3111B) Pool <br />operator shall keep ladders and handrails well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br /> #13 Cyanuric Acid Concentration <br />OBSERVATIONS: Cyanuric acid level is greater that 100ppm. <br />Provide at 100ppm or less. <br />Corrected. <br />Pool service arrived and drained spa and refilled. <br />Cyanuric acid is now 30ppm. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain cyanuric acid concentration between 0.0 ppm and 100 ppm. (CCR 65530) <br /> #18 Pool Shell and Tile <br />OBSERVATIONS: Observed chipping on spa shell. <br />Provide so shell is smooth. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool shells shall be white and have a smooth waterproof interior finish that will withstand repeated brushing, <br />and scrubbing. A spa pool may be finished in a light color other than white when approved by the enforcement agency.
