All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #8 Pool and Deck Lighting <br />OBSERVATIONS: Pool lights were non-operational. Repair/replace pool lights so that they are in good working order within <br />two weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of the <br />pool. When a pool is used at night, pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck lighting is <br />not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in 4-inch letters stating "NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK" and shall <br />secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark. (3115B) <br /> #9 Ladders and Handrails <br />OBSERVATIONS: Handrails at the deep end were observed loose. Tighten hand rails within two weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: A means of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool. Ladders and <br />handrails shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed. At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a point <br />above the top of the lowest step. Handrails shall be installed between 28 to 36 inches above the steps and deck. (CBC 3111B) Pool <br />operator shall keep ladders and handrails well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br /> #35 Flow Meters <br />OBSERVATIONS: Flow meter was non-operational. Repair/replace flow meter within two weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Flow meters shall be provided on each recirculation system and shall be installed in accordance with <br />manufacturer's specifications.
