All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Free chlorine is at 1.4 ppm. Provide free chlorine 3 ppm - 10 ppm today. Person in charge added liquid <br />chlorine. free chlorine rechecked to be at 10 ppm. Corrected on site. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #12 pH Level MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: pH is below 7. Provide pH 7.2 - 7.8 today. Person in charge added 2 Oz of soda ash to the spa. pH is <br />rechecked later to be at 7.8. Corrected on site. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br /> #25 Spa Emergency Shut Off Switch <br />OBSERVATIONS: I could not check the emergency shut off switch during my inspection. Provide a functional emergency <br />shut off switch connected to the spa and jets pumps today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: A clearly labeled emergency shut off switch for both the spa recirculation and jet/aeration systems shall be <br />installed adjacent to the spa pool. (CBC 3138B) <br /> #36 Pressure and Vacuum Gauges <br />OBSERVATIONS: Effluent gauge is stuck and not giving accurate reading. Replace gauge in 1 week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pressure and vacuum gauges shall be provided for each pump system.
