The CIWMB would prefer to obtain your permission/authorization <br /> to complete the investigation and avoid the litigation associated with obtaining an inspection <br /> warrant. <br /> Any consultants and contractors that may be used by the CIWMB to assist in the investigation are <br /> required to maintain liability insurance with a combined single lime coverage of$1,000,000 per <br /> occurrence. In addition,negligent acts by the State of California would give rise to a claim under <br /> the California Tort Claims Act. We believe these measures provide adequate protection to you <br /> from our acts during the investigation. <br /> Two copies of a Property Access Authorization form and a stamped return envelope are enclosed. <br /> Please sign and date one copy of the form and retum it in the envelope by June 24 2002. The <br /> second copy of the form is for your records.
