(a) A person who hauls waste or used tires is exempt from registration under this <br /> chapter if at least one of the following conditions is met: <br /> (8) The person is transporting waste or used tires to an amnesty day event or to a legal <br /> disposal site and has received written authorization from the local enforcement agency <br /> specifying conditions for that hauling for one day. <br /> This letter must accompany the load of waste tires and be presented to any uniform peace officer or authorized agent <br /> of the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department or California Integrated Waste Management Board. <br /> Further,this letter only grants the transportation of waste tires to the aforementioned location and does not allow for <br /> the transportation of waste tires for hire. <br /> Additionally,you must complete and process the Comprehensive Trip Log(CTL) in accordance with State law(see <br /> attached CTL form). Instructions to fill out the CTL form are on the back of the form. <br /> In order to complete the CTL form,you must obtain a Tire Program Identification Number(TPID)by contacting the <br /> California Integrated Waste Management Board(CIWMB)at 1-866-896-0600.
