C
a i a4 main btreet
Escalon, California 95320
Telephone: (209) 838-9888
Facsimile: (209) 838-9883
September 22, 2004
Mr. Robert McClellon
0 0 (FELE
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor
Stockton, CA 95202-2708
Subject: Summary of Soil Boring Investigation and
Workplan for Site Mitigation
23023 S. Santa Fe Road, Riverbank, CA
(APNs 249-060-13 and 249-060-14)
Dear Mr. McClellon:
Ground Zero Analysis, Inc. (Ground Zero) has prepared this letter report on behalf of Mr. Peter
Palomino to summarize the soil boring investigation conducted at the subject properties (the Site)
and to present a workplan to outline the proposed site mitigation activities. Figure 1 shows the
location of the Site. Figure 2 shows the approximate parcel boundaries.
The Site is located just north of the town of Riverbank and the Stanislaus River, and has been
identified as 23023 S. Santa Fe Road, San Joaquin County, California. Parcel APN 249-060-13
(Parcel 13) is a triangular shaped parcel that totals approximately 16 acres of land. Parcel APN
249-060-14 (Parcel 14) is a square shaped parcel that totals approximately 10 acres of land.
Both parcels have varying topography. Shallow groundwater beneath the Site reportedly lies at a
depth of approximately 28-30 feet below ground surface (bgs) and flow generally south, based
upon information obtained from a nearby UST site. It is our understanding that the Site is
currently designated for general agricultural use. It is Mr. Palomino's intent to continue with this
designated use by constructing an agricultural materials and equipment storage warehouse.
The Site was previously part of a Closed, Illegal, and Abandoned (CIA) landfill identified by the
California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) as the Snyder Sanitary Dump Site.
An April 2003 report entitled Site Investigation, Santa Fe Road Disposal Site, County of San
data/groundze/tuffboy/wp 1199.doc
