Harney Ln, Lodi, CA (20.0 Acres) <br /> <br />Ms. Garcia: <br /> <br />Per your request, Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (Live Oak) has completed a percolation test <br />for the subject Site, located at 10350 East Harney Lane, Lodi (Plate 1). We understand that <br />you are constructing a house on the Site, and the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br />Department is requiring the completion of a percolation test before septic permits can be <br />issued. <br /> <br />Soil Boring <br /> <br />On April 12, 2022, Live Oak Live Oak excavated a shallow soil boring on the Site for the <br />purpose of percolation testing. The boring was four inches in diameter, 2.72 feet deep, and <br />was excavated by hand auger. The location of the boring is indicated on the attached Plate 2. <br /> <br />Soil Log <br /> <br />The soil in the boring was observed to be sandy clay to a depth of 1.5 feet, followed by silty <br />clay with sand to the full depth of the hole. <br /> <br />Preparation and Presaturation of Percolation Test Hole <br /> <br />After the boring was advanced, the test hole was completed for the percolation testing. <br />Approximately two inches of pea gravel were placed in the bottom of the open soil boring, <br />followed by a 2.0-inch diameter PVC pipe with perforations on the bottom. Pea gravel was <br />then used to backfill a few inches of the annular space. <br /> <br />Live Oak presaturated the percolation test hole approximately 24 hours prior to the percolation <br />testing. The hole was filled with water to a height of 12 inches above the bottom of the boring <br />for the presaturation. On the day of testing, the hole was found to be intact and dry. <br /> <br />Percolation Test Procedure <br /> <br />Live Oak conducted the percolation test for the boring on April 13, 2022. Percolation test <br />procedures conformed to San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department policy. <br />
