STATE OF CALIFORNIA—RESOURCES AGENCY b' RONALD REAGAN, Go
CALIFORNIA REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD-
CENTRAL VALLEY REGION -®
3251 S STREET
SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA 95816
PHONE: (916) 445-0270
14 February 1973
J. Don Layson, Director
San Joaquin Local Health District
1601 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95201
Subject: Foreward, Inc. Sanitary Landfill
Dear Mr. Layson:
We are writing in response tor
telephone request for com-
ment on the application by Fo Inc. for a land use per-
mit to establish a Class II-1 solid waste disposal site in
San Joaquin County.
The Regional Board staff is in the process of formulating
waste discharge requirements for the subject discharge. Ten-
tative requirements have been prepared and circulated among
concerned state agencies for review. Their comments have in-
dicated that the proposed site is satisfactory from a water
quality standpoint.
We intend to present these requirements to our board for adop-
tion at its March 1973 meeting. Conditioned upon the dis-
charger' s compliance with the board' s requirements as adopted,
and with our prescribed monitoring program, we have no objec-
tion to the issuance of a use permit.
Sincerely,
c
L_
JAMES A. ROBERTSON
Executive Officer
PEJ/jw
cc: San Joaquin Co. Plan. Dept.
