All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #4 Safety Equipment <br />OBSERVATIONS: Rescue pole damaged in pool enclosure and replacement pole in pump room does not have body hook. <br />Provide rescue pole with secured body hook inside pool enclosure. Correct today. <br />Throw rope attached to life ring is too short. Provide and attach throw rope with rope length that spans the maximum width <br />of the pool. Correct today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br /> #5 Restrooms and Showers <br />OBSERVATIONS: Per Sergio the restroom plumbing was previously clogged at sink, toilet, and floor drain and then the <br />room was flooded. The pipes were unclogged but the water was shut off at the hand sink and the room still needs to be <br />cleaned. Provide and maintain clean restroom facilities with properly working and supplied hand sink and toilet. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall ensure the following facilities are maintained and kept clean: showers, toilets, dressing <br />facilities, drinking fountains, diaper-changing stations, floors, walls, partitions, doors, and lockers. Showers (except outside) shall be <br />provided with soap in dispensers. Toilet facilities shall be provided with toilet tissue, hand soap, and paper towels or hot air blowers in <br />permanently installed dispensers. Pool operator shall provide a minimum of one waste receptacle in each toilet facility. Wooden slats, <br />duckboards and footbaths are prohibited. ( CCR 65535, 65551) Showers and lavatories shall be provided with hot and cold water faucets. <br />Maximum water temperature at showers and lavatories shall not exceed 110*F. (CBC 3116B) <br /> #7 Pool Deck <br />OBSERVATIONS: Observed vegetation in pool deck on west side of pool. Remove and keep pool deck free of vegetation. <br />Some cracks/holes between pool deck and coping on west side of pool. Seal cracks/holes prior to re-opening. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: An unobstructed 4-foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with the <br />top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of any <br />diving board, ADA device, or slide.
