All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #12 pH Level MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The pH was greater than 8. Maintain pH between 7.2-7.8 when operating. Corrected on site it was 7.6. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br /> #3 Safety Signs <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Lacking CPR sign. Provide sign today. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535)Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br /> letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall,pole,gate, or similar <br /> permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 31206) <br /> #4 Safety Equipment <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The throw rope for the life ring was too short. Provide throw rope with rope length that is able to span the <br /> maximum width of the pool. Correct today. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained,readily visible,and available for use.Pools shall have at <br /> minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br /> rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br /> (CCR 65540) <br /> #5 Restrooms and Showers <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Hot water was not available at the outdoor showers,the water heater was turned off. Corrected on site, <br /> the water heater was turned on and set to 100 F. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall ensure the following facilities are maintained and kept clean:showers,toilets, dressing <br /> facilities, drinking fountains,diaper-changing stations, floors, walls,partitions, doors, and lockers. Showers(except outside)shall be <br /> provided with soap in dispensers. Toilet facilities shall be provided with toilet tissue,hand soap, and paper towels or hot air blowers in <br /> permanently installed dispensers.Pool operator shall provide a minimum of one waste receptacle in each toilet facility. Wooden slats, <br /> duckboards and footbaths are prohibited. (CCR 65535, 65551)Showers and lavatories shall be provided with hot and cold water faucets. <br /> Maximum water temperature at showers and lavatories shall not exceed 110*F.
