SAN J D AR I N Environmental Health Department <br /> Y AMENDED <br /> 8/2/2022 <br /> Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> SHARPE ARMY DEPOT/SAN JOAQUIN 700 E ROTH RD, LATHROP July 25, 2022 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 3010 OBSERVATION: This facility generates used oil from equipment maintenance. <br /> Facility generates used oil from the maintenance of its generators.There is no indication of how much oil was <br /> removed from the site. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: <br /> California Health and Safety Code section 25250.12. <br /> Used oil generated during maintenance operations may be transferred from its point of generation to the <br /> maintenance person's place of business, other than a residence,for the purpose of consolidation in a tank or <br /> container,without meeting the requirements of Sections 25160, 25163, and 25201, if the material is to be recycled <br /> at an authorized offsite hazardous waste facility and if all the following conditions are met: <br /> (a) The generator transports the used oil in a vehicle owned by the generator or owned by an employee of the <br /> generator. <br /> (b) Not more than 55 gallons are transferred in the vehicle at any one time. <br /> (c) The used oil is managed in accordance with all laws concerning storage and handling of hazardous wastes <br /> upon consolidation at the maintenance person's place of business. <br /> (d) The used oil is deemed to be generated at the point of consolidation upon consolidation. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Provide a corrective action statement to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department(EHD)within 30 days. The statement must list the following: name and street address of the <br /> maintenance company, maximum volume of used oil being transferred,final disposition of the used oil. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by September 1, 2022. <br /> Wastes generated by this facility: <br /> Lead <br /> Asbestos <br /> Used oil <br /> Used oil filters <br /> To minimize person to person contact EHD is choosing to write the name of person receiving the report instead <br /> of having them sign. Starting September 1, 2018, all in-office CERS help will be provided at EHD hourly rate <br /> ($152).
