The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for RON MENCARINI & SON as of September 08, 2022. <br /> Open violations from April 08, 2021 inspection <br /> Violation #106 - Failed to train employees on waste handling and emergency procedures. <br /> OBSERVATION At the time of inspection, it could not be demonstrated (not necessarily documented) that <br /> employees who handle hazardous waste were properly trained in hazardous waste handling procedures. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: The business owner must ensure that all employees are thoroughly familiar with proper <br /> waste handling and emergency procedures, relevant to their responsibilities during normal facility operations and <br /> emergencies. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately train the employees. Provide proof of training within 30 days to the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) for employees whose responsibilities include hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by (date): <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br /> Violation #605 - Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION Hazardous waste containers were observed on-site without the appropriate hazardous waste <br /> labeling. The containers were: one open white 5-gallon container with standing oily liquid and one 35 gallon <br /> container of used oil, observed inside the hazardous waste storage shed. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the <br /> words "Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition <br /> (contents), accumulation start date <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: The 5-gallon container was emptied into into the onsite hazardous waste storage <br /> container, no further action is required for this container. Immediately label the remaining 35-gallon container( as <br /> required for hazardous waste). Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) within 30 days.
