The project proposes a metal
warehouse/office building with associated pavement.
Geotech Drilling:
Reports Gularte and Associates are contracted to perform three exploratory borings for
the purposes of writing a Geotechnical Report for the project. The borings will be
4" in diameter and will be drilled with solid flight augers. These borings will be
used to retrieve SPT and CAL-MOD soil samples. All four of the borings will be
drilled to depths of 25 feet. The borings' locations can be seen on the attached
site map.
Phase IESA
Grouting:
Once the desired depths of the borings are met the holes will be grouted. A tremie
pipe will be placed to the bottom of the borehole to avoid segregation or dilution
of grout. The grout will be pumped/poured through the tremie pipe releasing the
grout at the bottom of the bore hole. The tremie pipe will be submerged in the
Soil
Compaction slurry at all times during slurry placement. The tremie pipe will be raised slowly
as grout is introduced to the casing or hole. The placing of grout will be continuous
until grout appears at the top of the bore hole, at which time the tremie pipe will
be removed.
Special Respectfully,
Inspections Gularte & Associates, Inc.
FU*Vz q""e
Brayden Hungrige, EIT No. 169283
Staff Engineer
