1.0 INTRODUCTION <br />This Site Health and Safety Plan (HSP), developed in accordance with Federal and <br />California Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards for <br />hazardous waste operations (29 CFR 1910.120 and 8 CCR 5192), establishes Site- <br />specific health and safety protocols for Clear Heart Drilling, Inc. <br />For informational purposes only, this plan may be provided to subcontractors of Clear <br />Heart Drilling involved in activities at the site. Entities and personnel other than Clear <br />Heart Drilling's staff shall be solely responsible for their own health and safety and shall <br />independently assess on-site conditions and develop their own health and safety protocol. <br />However, other entities or personnel that anticipate using health and safety measures <br />which are less stringent than Clear I leart Drilling's measures should immediately conact <br />Clear Heart Drilling Site Safety Officer. <br />Clear Heart Drilling, Inc. has developed a health and safety plan for Clear Heart <br />Drilling's employees. The Corporate Plan complies with current health and safety <br />regulations, including Cal OSHA 8 CCR 5192 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120, Hazardous <br />Waste Operations and Emergency Response. Many of the procedures in the corporate <br />plan are conducted on a routine basis (general training, respirator fit testing, general <br />medical record keeping, etc.) and are not repeated in this document. Questions regarding <br />the Clear Heart Drilling Corporate Plan are referred to Terri White, Operations Manager. <br />I <br />A copy of the Site Health and Safety Plan and Standard Operating Procedures along w th <br />specific health and safety information will be kept in a conspicuous location on site at 11 <br />times while work is being conducted. <br />2.0 KEY HEALTH AND SAFETY PERSONNEL <br />The',Clear Heart Drilling Corporate Safety Officer is Gary Soden. Clear Heart Drilling <br />SitelSafety Officer is listed on page one, titled "Site Specific Health Safety Plan <br />Summary." The Site Safety Officer will be present during field activities at all times. <br />The Site Safety Officer is responsible for the following: <br />• Observing field activities for compliance with this Site Health and Safety <br />Plan, as it applies to the extent of work on site that specifically applies to <br />Clear Heart Drilling <br />• Modifying health and safety protocols or terminating fieldwork when unsafe <br />work conditions exist <br />• Familiarizing Clear Heart Drilling's personnel with health and safety <br />protocols <br />• Ensuring that Clear Heart Drilling's field personnel wear appropriate personal <br />protective equipment j <br />Page 1 <br />
