The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been addressed for J & J DISCOUNT TIRES as of October 25 , 2022 . Open violations from September 19 , 2022 inspection Violation #605 - Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. OBSERVATION : Hazardous waste containers were observed on-site with no label. The containers were : One green 55 gallon metal steel drum was observed in the hazardous waste storage area with no label . REGULATION GUIDANCE : All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following •information : the words " Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties , physical state , composition (contents), accumulation start date CORRECTIVE ACTION : Immediately label the containers as required for hazardous waste. Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department ( EHD ) within 30 days. L Violation #608 - Failed to properly manage used oil filters or fuel filters . OBSERVATION : Containers of used metal oilor fuel filters out of compliance with the storage rules were observed on-site. The following used metal oil or fuel filter containers were on-site : -One 55-gallon black steel drum with drain used oil filters was not closed with a ring and bolt. REGULATION GUIDANCE : Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66266 . 130 Management of Used Oil Filters. California Health & Safety Code section 25250 . 22 Fuel Filters CORRECTIVE ACTION : [MODIFY AND ADD SPECIFIC DETAILS AS NECESSARY] Immediately drain all metal oil and fuel filters of free-flowing liquid , store them in closed , rainproof containers. Label the container with the words "drained used oil filters" or " used gasoline filters", depending on the contents . Mark the container with an accumulation start date. Dispose of all used filters stored on-site greater than one year. Used filters not stored , handled and disposed of according to this section are regulated as hazardous waste . Provide a corrective action statement, disposal records and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health - Department (EHD) within 30 days.
