March Lane, Stockton
APN 071-140-01, 02, 07, 08, 09, 10 & 11 (SR0085724)
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed the Soil Suitability/Nitrate
Loading (SSNL) Study, dated August, 2022 and has the following comments for your consideration.
The SSNL was prepared to determine the suitability of onsite wastewater treatment system (OWTS) usage
and the potential long-term impact of nitrate to groundwater from the proposed subdivision PA-2100281 (MS).
Based on the information provided, the EHD cannot accept SSNL study and has the following comments:
1. Based on the percolation test investigation, soils profile and shallow depth to ground water at 2.5'
below ground surface, an engineer design will be required for all new septic system(s) and repairs to
mitigate distance between groundwater and OWTS.
2. Provide calculated potential nitrate loading to groundwater using Hanztch/Finnemore calculation
method. For convenience see attached nitrate loading study requirement checklist.
3. Provide lab results for 1,2-Dibromo-3-chloropropane (DBCP). Per chain of custody provided the
sample taken from well was analyzed for DBCP but results not included.
Submit an addendum to EHD addressing comment 2 and 3 for and EHD will respond accordingly.
If you have any questions please contact Naseem Ahmed, Senior Registered Environmental Health
Specialist, at nahmed@sjgov.org or (209) 616-3018.
 lir'
-F,
Steven Shin, REHS
Program Coordinator
c: Rita Busalachhi- 6110 Granica Ct, Stockton CA 95215
1868 E.
