which the septic system leach field can disperse the liquid waste. The raised bed will allow for a
greater depth than the original 2.5 feet to the ground water. Conventional disposal systems (leach
lines and pits) will not work on this property. Rather, if a home (or any building requiring
septic) is proposed, a specific engineered system should be designed by a licensed Engineer and
submitted to Environmental Health for approval. It must be designed and installed according to
the current San Joaquin County criteria for septic systems. The septic system shall be designed to
ensure the nitrates are not allowed the nitrate to go above the allowed 10 mg/L-N.
7.0 CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS SECTION
Due to the shallow depth of groundwater encountered, an engineered septic system shall be
recommended at the time an OWTS is proposed. The site must comply with the San Joaquin
County requirement by having a project site with less than 10 mg/L-N, a denitrification system
will likely be required.
7.1 APPENDIX
Attachments are all included at the end of this report as part of the Appendix.
8.0 LIMITATIONS
Limitations use in Soil Suitability Report:
Our services were performed, our findings obtained, and our conclusions proposed in accordance
with generally accepted engineering principles and practices.
