Alco Iron & Metal <br /> Non Acce tance Policy <br /> The following is a policy that reflects our commitment to recycling responsibly. The <br /> following list is to help you have a clear understanding of materials that Alco Iron & <br /> Metal is not accepting. Please read this carefully and contact a scrap representative at <br /> (209) 932-1107 if you have any questions. <br /> 1. <br /> 2. Combustible or explosive materials <br /> 3. Paint cans or aerosol containers <br /> 4. Gasoline, diesel, propane, antifreeze or other petroleum products or containers <br /> 5. Oil pans still on motor blocks, oil cans, oil filters <br /> 6. Tanks, drums, barrels, vessels, and condensers unless triple rinsed and certified <br /> empty prior to dumping <br /> 7. Closed containers or compressed gas cylinders <br /> 8. Cans or containers that contained or contain paint, water sealer, pesticides or other <br /> toxic or hazardous chemicals <br /> 9. Asbestos or asbestos containing materials of any kind (such as pipe insulation, <br /> surfacing material.) <br /> 10.Air conditioning and refrigeration units containing chloroflurocarbons or <br /> hydrochlorofiouro carbons (CFC's & HCFC's) <br /> 11.Materials such as capacitors, ballasts and electrical transformers and transformer <br /> components that contain PCB's. <br /> 12.Automobile air bags containing sodium azide <br /> 13.Fluorescent lights, mercury vapor lights, high intensity discharge lights, neon lamps, <br /> high-pressure sodium lights, metal halide lights, associated fixtures or ballast. <br /> 14.Cathode ray tubes (CRT's) and liquid crystal displays (LCD's), or items containing a <br /> CRT or LCD, such as computer monitors, laptop screens, and televisions. <br /> 15.Mercury switches, thermostats or relays <br /> 16.Radioactive materials or containers <br /> 17.Any material containing hazardous or toxic substances, materials, or wastes <br /> 18.Free flowing fluids of any kind including water <br /> 19.Tires, wood, yard debris, concrete, asphalt, glass, rubber, dirt, insulation, garbage, <br /> or any other non-metallic materials <br /> 20.No Vehicles of any kind without a Junk Slip from DMV. Alco also does not take full <br /> electric vehicles <br /> 21.Appliances must be accompanied by a form 1430 <br /> 22.Any Batteries, other than Lead-Acid, shall not be accepted by Alco. This includes <br /> any Lithium Ion Batteries, either by themselves or within components. <br /> Please be aware that Alco Iron & Metal Company does not accept stolen material. <br /> Anyone who is suspected of trying to sell stolen material will be identified to the <br /> Stockton Police Department. Alco monitors all stolen material notices and all <br /> patrons caught stealing or selling stolen materials will be prosecuted to the <br /> fullest extent of the law. <br /> We appreciate your patronage and cooperation in keeping these materials out of your <br /> recyclable metal scrap. The above list is not all inclusive.
