PROCEDURE <br /> All persons detained within the Manteca City Jail will receive fair and equal treatment as <br /> specified under these miles and regulations. <br /> A, Number of Personnel <br /> 1_ A sufficient number of personnel shall be on duty to pernvt intermittent, random, <br /> direct visual supervision of all inmates. <br /> 2. Whenever there is an inmate in custody,there shall be at least one(I employee <br /> on duty at all times in the Manteca City Jail or within the police building who shall <br /> be immediately available to the inmates in the event of an emergency_ Whenever one <br /> (I}or more female inmates are in custody, there shall be at least one (1) female <br /> employee who shall in like manner be immediately available and accessible to such <br /> females_ Normally, the dispatcher-clerk cn duty will meet this requirement. <br /> B, Fire and Life Safety Training <br /> I ,All employes of the Manteca Police Department shall be aware of the locatiou. <br /> and method of operation of the fire alarms and fire extinguishers used in the Manteca <br /> City Jail. <br /> C_ Inmate Records <br />
