Hazelton Avenue <br /> Stockton, CA 96001 <br /> Subject: File Number PA-2200137 Griffith Energy Storage Project Site Approval Incomplete <br /> Notification Response <br /> Dear Giuseppe: <br /> Griffith Energy Storage, LLC, (Griffith Energy) is seeking a Site Approval from San Joaquin County for the <br /> Griffith Energy Storage Project(Project)—a proposed battery energy storage system.The Project <br /> includes development of a 400-megawatt battery energy storage facility with associated on-site support <br /> facilities, including a collector substation, inverters, collector lines,fencing, access roads, and <br /> supervisory control and data acquisition system located onsite.The Project would interconnect at the <br /> Pacific Gas and Electric Tesla Substation adjacent to the site in Alameda County via a 230-kilovolt <br /> interconnection generation tie line. <br /> On June 27, 2022,the Community Development Department provided an Incomplete Notification for <br /> the Project. In response to the Incomplete Notification, Griffith Energy has compiled the following <br /> components described below. <br /> Attachments: <br /> 1. Application form which includes total square footage of battery containers (81,920 square feet), <br /> total square footage of the transformers (480 square feet),and total square footage of the <br /> substation footprint (153,423 square feet). <br /> 2. Site Plan that conforms to the Community Development Department Site Plan Checklist.Twelve <br /> 24" x 36" hard copies and two 8.5"x 11" hard copies will be delivered under separate cover. <br /> 3. Access Records (Lease Agreement)for the Project site. <br /> 4. Receipt for payment of the$7,848.40 application fee, plus$179.73 service fee,for a total <br /> payment of$8,028.13 <br />
