There was definitely no covering of the mouth. She turned her head and sneezed openly about 4-5 times. The first time
she did this I asked her to wear a mask. No washing of the hands at all. She took my order, dealt with my money and
cooked my food without washing her hands. I would like a refund or some type of gift are for this gross inconvenience.
Sent from my iPhone
BIANCA BRUMFIELD
On Jul 1, 2022, at 8:02 AM, Linhares, Kadeanne [EHD] <klinhares@sjgov.org> wrote:
Bianca,
Let's try this again. I wanted to follow up with you regarding this complaint received by our Dept.
I visited the facility on Monday (6-27) and spoke with the Assistant Manager (AM).
She was aware of the complaint (but was not on site at the time of the complaint). She stated that the
employee in question had allergies.
AM stated that employees are trained to step away from the food prep area, sneeze, wash their hands,
put on new gloves and then return to food prep.
At the time of my visit, I did not observe any employee sneezing or spitting over any food.
AM also stated that customers are directed to call the Customer Complaint Line - that way the complaint
will be on record and the complainant would receive a follow-up call.
2
