According to Mark GoulardE! of Boyett Petroleum, <br />proximately 7,000 gallons of diesel spilled when the side of th.-, tank gave way. Spoke to <br />approximately <br />and Clark with Boyett. They are the company that arrangEs for the fuel deliveries. <br />During fueling yesterday between 4 & 5 PM, the side of the tank burst off spilling diesel. A <br />clean up company started at the site, but did not finish. Per Boyatt, clean up has been <br />arranged by the property owner. <br />4/30/15 9:53 AM <br />On site to check on the spill clean up. Met with Dale Kuil, the pr)perty owner, Per Mr. <br />Kuil, the delivery driver failed to open the vent line during fueling of the diesel tank and <br />approximately 6,000 gallons of diesel was released to the groan J. He had a pile of dirt on <br />site, so he placed the dirt over the spill area to stop the diesel from spreading. He said all <br />dirt was placed over the top of concrete. Diesel contaminated soil was observed in the <br />ifarm equipment storage building, around the diesel tank, in the (,rchard behind the tank, <br />and in the driveway. Mr. Kuil said a clean up contractor came out last night and looked <br />around, but stated they would have to return to for clean up. Arrangements have been <br />made with a clean up contractor, Ponder Environmental, to clea:i the spill area, but no time <br />or day for clean up has been scheduled. Issued a Notice to Abz to for the spill clean up. <br />— - — ------- - --- <br />Called the Regional Water Board and referred the clean up to them. They stated that they <br />only wanted a phone notificationlreferral. <br />Completed Prop 65 notification. <br />8.
