All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: Safety sign is faded. <br />Provide a safety sign that is not faded prior to opening pool. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 3120B) <br /> #4 Safety Equipment <br />OBSERVATIONS: life ring lacks rope. <br />Provide rope attached to life ring prior to opening pool. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br /> #17 Cleanliness of Pool <br />OBSERVATIONS: Observed debris at the bottom of the pool. <br />Clean. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain clean pool water while the pool is in use and shall not allow debris to accumulate <br />in the pool. Pool operator shall clean the bottom, sides, and other surfaces of the pool as often as necessary to keep pool surfaces clean <br />and free of slime and algae.
