INTRODUCTION
1.0 INTRODUCTION AND PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT
1.1 Description of Site: The project consists of 2 existing parcels totaling 26 acres. The project
is in a rural residential area with a property zoning of R -R. The addresses are 550 N. Hewitt Road,
Linden, CA 95236 and 598 N. Hewitt Road, Linden, CA 95236. The project Assessor's Parcel
Numbers are 093-030-61, 63.
Description of proposed development: The purpose of this project is to create a 4.7 acre
parcel, a 5.8 acre parcel, a 4.5 acre parcel, a 4.1 acre parcel, a 2 acre designated remainder, and
to recognize a 4.9 acre parcel created per lot line adjustment (PA -2100123).
1.2 Parcel vicinity location map: (See Appendix).
1.3 Site map: (See Appendix).
2.0 PAST, PRESENT, AND PROPOSED FUTURE USES OF THIS SITE
2.1 Discussion of Past, Present uses at the site to assess potential problems: Nancy Butler has
owned 598 N. Hewitt Road for 10+ years. Salvador Rivera has owned 550 N. Hewitt Road for
over a year. The past and present uses of 550 N. Hewitt Road has been for residential use and part
of the property was used for grazing. The parcels future use is to be determined but will be
consistent with zoning.
3.0 CHEMICAL AND PHYSCAL PROPERTIES OF SOIL
3.1 Description of existing chemical and physical properties of soil: For a description of the
chemical and physical properties of the soils underlying the site, refer to Section 5 of the Soil
Suitability Report prepared by Dillon & Murphy (attached in the Appendix).
3.2 Description of the mass transport properties of the soils underlying the site with respect
to the nitrate and/or any other constituent of concern identified for the project site: The
results from the percolation test prepared by Dillon & Murphy have determined that the site is
permeable to a maximum depth of exploration of 18 inches for the 4.7 acre parcel, 18 inches for
the 5.8 parcel, 30 inches for the 4.5 acre parcel, 30 inches for the 4.1 acre parcel, and 18 inches for
the designated remainder. The soil type allows for infiltration of water through the top soils. The
infiltration rate will limit the natural treatment of the sites soils as they drain from the surface
layers. The soil survey is classified as 220 — Redding Gravelly Loam, 236 — San Joaquin County
Sandy Loam, and 237 — San Joaquin County Sandy Loam as stated in the Soil Survey of San
Joaquin County. as provided by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Soil Conservation
Service (See Appendix)
1
