SAN JOAQUIN <br /> Environmental Health Department <br />COUNTY <br />Time In: 11:46 am <br />Time Out: 12:10 pm <br />COMPLAINT INSPECTION REPORT <br />Name of Facility: VALLEY FOOD MARKET Date: 09/13/2022 <br />Address: 2401 W TURNER RD, LODI 95242 <br />Owner/Operator: Telephone: (209) 247-2387 <br />Program Element: 1600 - FOOD PROGRAM Complaint #: C00055206 <br />Responsible Party Contact: <br />DESCRIPTION OF COMPLAINT ALLEGATIONS <br />The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department received the following complaint: <br />HORDES OF MAGGOTS AND FLIES THAT ARE COMING DIRECTLY FROM THESE LOCATIONS. RODENT <br />DROPPING AND MAGGOTS IN THE GARBAGE AREAS IN THE BACK OF THE RESTAURANTS. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code commencing with section 7; <br />113700. All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and have the potential to cause foodbome illness. All major violations must be corrected immediately. Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br />the food facility. <br />OVERALL INSPECTION NOTES AND COMMENTS <br />FOOD ITEM -- LOCATION -- TEMP 0 F -- COMMENTS <br />No Temperature Data Collected <br />COMMENTS AND OBSERVATIONS <br />I went to the facility and spoke with the manager who was unaware of the compliant. <br />I went with the manger to the dumpster area and observed four dumpsters with lids. <br />The manager explained that the area was cleaned and that the dumpster is dumped 2 times a week. <br />Per manager trash is taken from the facility on a cart that has wheels, as to prevent food from being spilled onto the ground. <br />The manager showed me the cart and demonstrated how the trash is taken to the dumpster. <br />I observed the area directly behind the dumpsters and the bottom of the wall has been sealed with foam. <br />I observed a few maggots on the ground and area appears to be maintained. <br />I did not observe "hoards of maggots and flies" <br />The person in charge is responsible for ensuring that the above mentioned facility is in compliance with all applicable sections of the California Health and <br />Safety Code.
