All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #16 Water Clarity MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pool water green and bottom of pool was not visible. Bottom of pool must be visible at all times if <br />there is water in the pool. Clean pool immediately so that the bottom of the pool is visible. Email picture of correction to <br />dafonskaia@sjgov.org within 1 week or there will be a chargeable re-inspection. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain clear pool water while pool is in use or shall close the pool if the bottom of the <br />pool at the maximum depth is not clearly visible from the deck. (CCR 65527) <br /> #3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: Lacking max pool capacity on sign. Provide max pool capacity on sign prior to opening pool. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 3120B) <br /> #4 Safety Equipment <br />OBSERVATIONS: The body hook was not attached to the rescue pool. Secure body hook to rescue pool with bolt today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br /> #35 Flow Meters <br />OBSERVATIONS: The flow meter was stuck. Provide properly working flow meter today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Flow meters shall be provided on each recirculation system and shall be installed in accordance with <br />manufacturer's specifications.
