SAN JOAQUIN <br /> Environmental Health Department <br />(TOLiNTY <br />Time In 10:45 am <br />Time Out: 11:30 am <br />COMPLAINT INSPECTION REPORT <br />Name of Facility: YOGI BEAR'S JELLYSTONE PARK Date: 08/10/2022 <br />Address: 14900 W HWY 12, LODI 95242-9514 <br />Owner/Operator: Telephone: (209) 369-1041 <br />Program Element: 3600 - RECREATIONAL HEALTH PROGRAM Complaint #: C00055122 <br />Responsible Party Contact: <br />DESCRIPTION OF COMPLAINT ALLEGATIONS <br />The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department received the following complaint: <br />COMPLAINANT ALLEGES WHILE STAYING AT THE RESORT THE WEEKEND BEFORE LAST HER SON BECAME ILL <br />WITH VOMITING BLUE. SHE BELIEVES IT COULD BE A CHEMICAL USED IN THE POOL. ON 07-30-22 AROUND <br />EARLY AFTERNOON THEY USED THE BOOBOO POOL, WEST POOL. NEXT MORNING, 07-31-22 THE SON HAD A <br />STOMACH ACHE AND BEGAN TO VOMIT. HE WENT TO THE ER BUT THEY COULD NOT DETERMINE WHAT WAS <br />CAUSING THE ILLNESS. COMPLAINANT STATED THAT THE MORNING, THE DAY THEY USED THE POOL, THE <br />POOL WAS CLOUDY. AN HOUR LATER THE POOL WAS CLEAR. COMPLAINANT THINKS THE POOL WAS <br />SHOCKED AND THEY DID NOT TELL THE POOL USERS. THE WHOLE FAMILY WENT SWIMMING BUT ONLY ONE <br />CHILD BECAME ILL. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code section(s) 116043, 116040, & <br />116050. All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />OVERALL INSPECTION NOTES AND COMMENTS <br />COMMENTS AND OBSERVATIONS <br />Went to the facility with Jeff Carruesco and spoke with the manager. We informed the manager about the reason for our visit, <br />the above complaint. <br />We asked the manager if they have received any complaints regarding getting sick from swimming in the pool(s) on the <br />7-30-22. He said no. We asked the manager if they had to shock the pool(s) on 7-30-22. He said no. He stated that they have <br />not shocked the pool for about a month. The manager stated that the slide that used to be on the pool has been gone for <br />about 2 years. There is no slide on the pool. <br />The current chemicals that are added to the pool are liquid chlorine, and CO2 . <br />I tested the chemicals. pH 7.4. Free chlorine 2.2 ppm. Chemical are maintained as required. <br />Equipment is functioning as required. <br />The person in charge is responsible for ensuring that the above mentioned facility is in compliance with all applicable sections of the California Health and <br />Safety Code.
