Disposal Site
Gentlemen:
In accordance with the requirements set forth in our "Interim Waste
Specifications" , we have submitted a bid to accept 5000 cubic yards
of sludge waste generated by Shell Oil Company in Martinez, California.
As shown on the appended analysis , the waste contains many chemical
elements however, tri-valent chromium is the only component present
in the hazardous range. As you requested , we checked the analysis with
the Shell Chemical Laboratory and they indicated the sludge contains no
Chromium VI . This can be confirmed by calling the Shell Laboratory.
It is our understanding that the waste will be excavated for disposal in
late July or early August.
Very truly yours,
BETA ASSOCIATES
Jack E.
