If the drilling rig cannot safely drill on the pond floor due to shallow groundwater and/or soft ground
surface,Condor and the drilling contractor may elect to drill and sample at that location using an hand auger
and temporary well casing. Proposed step-out borings B52 and B53 will be advanced near the location of
proposed monitoring well MW-7 and proposed borings B54 and B55 will be advanced near the location of
proposed monitoring well MW-8, as shown on the attached revised figure.
Boring B51 (retention pond)will be advance to first groundwater to collect a groundwater sample.Proposed
step-out borings B52 through B54 will be advanced to a total depth of approximately 20 feet below ground
surface(bgs)using a direct-push drill rig and continuous core soil samples will be collected for lithological
identification. A grab groundwater sample will be collected from each step-out boring at first encountered
groundwater, which we anticipate to occur at approximately 12 to 15 feet bgs, and sent to a State-certified
analytical laboratory for analysis. Deeper groundwater samples may be collected at the discretion of a
Condor professional geologist.
Please feel free to contact me at(209) 938-1061 or via my mobile phone (209) 743-7443 should you have
any questions regarding this request. oN P GF
O
Respectfully, 0oN OWN
CONDOR EARTH a
No.6795
John P.
