The existing septic system and leach field extend to the <br />east of the residence and are located over 50 feet away from the onsite domestic water <br />well (Figure 2; Appendix B). <br />The septic system servicing the existing residential structure (house) consists of a 1,200 - <br />gallon septic tank with two compartments, two 40 -foot -long leach lines, and two 33 -inch <br />diameter, 25 -foot -deep seepage pits. The 1,200 -gallon tank was installed in 1963. The <br />system is permitted for a three-bedroom house and is utilized 365 days a year <br />(Appendix B). <br />3.2. SITE SEPTIC PERMIT HISTORY <br />One liquid wastewater septic permit is on record at the San Joaquin County <br />Environmental Health Department (EHD). EHD permit 15894 dated June 1963 is on <br />record for 16402 Escalon Bellota Road, Escalon, California for installation of a new <br />residential septic system (Appendix B). <br />3.3. ON-SITE SEPTIC TANK REPAIR HISTORY <br />There are no septic wastewater repair permits on file at the EHD. <br />3.4. EXISTING SEPTIC TANK USAGE IN THE GENERAL AREA <br />Neighboring properties are zoned for residential and agricultural land use. Several liquid <br />waste permits are on record at the EHD for installation of septic systems surrounding the <br />subject property. <br />3.5.
